Mathrubhumi conducts Photo Competition to promote tourism

The prizes for the 'My Kerala' Photo Competition conducted by Mathrubhumi Internet Portal and the travel planners-Intersight Holidays were distributed. C.M.P Narayanan, Mayur Vihar,
New Delhi
bagged the first prize which is a digital camera worth rupees 35,000/-. The prestigious function was inaugurated by Johny Abraham, Managing Director, Intersight.
'More competitions of similar nature will conduct to promote Tourism in Kerala.' He said after giving away the first prize to C.M.P Narayanan. The second and third prizes were presented by the renowned artist T.Kaladharan. M. Muraleedharan and K B Girish who are the natives of Thrissur district won second and third prizes. They prizes were cameras worth rupees 10,000 and 5,000 respectively.

From almost 1500 entries from around the world, the judges-- renowned Cine Director Shaloon Kariyal, Painter Kaladharan and Advertising Photographer K Anil Kumar-selected the winners after several screenings and keen evaluations. Also, the online viewers were given opportunities to rank the photos which were exhibited in Mathrubhumi website.
The prize distribution ceremony took place on 26th of July at the

, Ernakulam followed by a three-day-exhibition of the selected photos. Mathrubhumi Director, Adv. Bhaskara Menon and Mathrubhumi Cochin Unit Manager, Shibu Cheriyan were also present during the function.
